Shipment of Dangerous Goods
DPD Ireland can transport limited quantities of dangerous / hazardous goods. The regulations for the transport of dangerous goods by road are set out under the ADR (Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road).
In Ireland, this is regulated under the European Communities (Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment) Regulations 2011 (S.I. No. 349 of 2011), as amended.
Limited quantities can be transported as per the provisions described in annex A and annex B of the agreement.
DPD Ireland do not ship dangerous goods with Exemptions / Excepted Quantities.
If your goods fall under any of the below categories, DPD can only ship if it is a limited quantity as outlined table A column 7a of Chapter 3.2 of the ADR.

Before you ship dangerous goods with DPD Ireland ensure your parcel complies with all the conditions described in Part 3, Chapter 3.4 of the ADR. If you are unsure please contact our customer services team.
Any person sending dangerous goods which do not meet the requirements as outlined above, may be subject to their order being cancelled without notice and may be required to arrange for collection of the item at Depot / Hub

An Antique is anything more than one hundred years old or any item the value of which is enhanced by virtue of its age.
Works of Art
A Work of Art is any hand produced article, the value of which is enhanced by virtue of the identity of the maker or any item, the value of which is greater than the present day cost of making a similar item.
