DPD Ireland provides standard liability for all consignments despatched. Details of the insurance cover are given below.
Republic of Ireland parcels
All parcels sent with DPD Ireland from the Republic of Ireland, with the exception of ‘Goods carried but not insured’ have standard liability cover of €15.00 per kilo, per consignment, up to a maximum of 100kgs. Extended liability of up to €5,000 per consignment is available for an additional fee of €6 for deliveries within the Republic of Ireland and to Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland parcels
All parcels sent with DPD Ireland from Northern Ireland, with the exception of Goods carried but not insured, have standard liability cover of £10.00 per kilo per consignment, up to a maximum of 100kgs.
Extended liability of £3,000 per consignment is available for an additional fee of £5 for deliveries within the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

- Second hand vehicle parts
- Jewellery
- Stainless Steel flues/ Chrome flues
- Fax machines/Printers/Photocopiers containing ink or ink like substances
- Pottery, Earthenware etc.
- Works of art
- Vehicle body panels – new or old
- Antiques
- Plants
- Liquids
- Glass/China or similar items or parts consisting of such materials
- Perishable items (excluding meat – this is banned from carriage)
