Covid-19 Updates

Updated 22nd June 2021

The Republic of Ireland has entered a new phase in its roadmap for reopening the country today, with inter-county travel allowed once again, and all non-essential retail allowed to operate. Outdoor dining has resumed and from July 5th, indoor dining will resume also.

As always, the DPD Team are part of the Essential Workers Team and we are delivering throughout the country.

Following the advice and guidelines set by the HSE, NHS and WHO, we are continuing to take the following steps to protect our staff, our customers and your customers.

Our drivers continue to operate a contactless delivery system. If no-one is home, and a suitable Safe Place is available, our drivers will deliver the parcel to the designated Safe Place or to a Neighbour (according to the shippers’ preferences).

If someone is at home, the driver will place the parcel on the ground at a safe distance from the consignee. Driver will request the consignee name and will enter this into the scanner.

If you are shipping to a business premises, please ensure that they're actually open to accept delivery. If a premises is not open, goods will be returned to you.

The option to Collect at Depot  from the 'Manage Delivery' link is not available at this time. This means that consignees will no longer be offered the option to collect their parcel from a DPD depot - however, they can reschedule delivery date, or Manage Delivery to one of our Pickup Points.
